Reflection 2018

This year I have enjoyed Miranda Hot Pools  because it is my favorite pool and because it was free.

This year I also enjoyed making a glob because I wanted to make one for my mum. 

Celebrating Christmases

I am learning  how to compare Christmas.
I found it hard to catch up with the others and I found it easy  to find the picture.
Next time I would like to know what pere Noel.

Christmas Ideas

We are learning to write ideas for Christmas
I found it hard in the first part because I was thinking blank in the end I was think all about Christmas and I had to many ideas.
Next time I would like to to put all of my ideas on my google slides.

Miranda - Going Back To School

These are some people that went to sleep on the
 way back to school I was one of them that fell asleep.

Miranda Hot Springs

I like this day because we went on a trip to Miranda hot springs.

I found it hard to climb up when I was wet when I was dried it was easy.

We had a hot dog each and some chips with tomato sause.

I found it hard to say my speech and tried not to cry.

Next time I would like to not be shy when I say my speech.

What would you give a family in the 1930

For a girl and boy

I would give them money so they can go and buy some food and stuff.

I would also give them some girl clothes so they can keep warm.

I would like to give them some shoes so they don't have to walk in
bear feet.

I would give them a device so they can do the summer learning journey.

I would give them some colors so they don't have live in black and white.

I would give them a t.v so they can see the what is happening on the news and so they can watch cartoons.

Digital Christmas Tree

 I am learning how to make a digital Christmas tree.
 I found it hard to move the circles around to the right order.
Next time I would like to make a digital Santa clause.

Bunny Sack Race

I am learning how to work as a team.

I found it hard to work as a team in the bunny sack because  it was my first time.

Next time I would like to do something that doesn't have anything to do with a bunny sack.

Celebrations

I learnt the synonym for coincide it is clash.
I found it hard to find the definitions for realms, hemisphere, coincide and sovereign. 
Next time I would like to do more about the Queen's birthday and investigate Easter.

Half,Quarter and Eighth

I am learning halves, qaurters and eighths.
I found it easy because I knew how to do it.
Next time I would like to do different shapes.

Mixing Substance

WALHT create a substance that is strong enough to make a structure. this could be to house an animal or group of people.Or even hold up a fence post. 
I am learning how to make concrete with cement stones,bark and potting mix.
I found it hard because I didn't know how much water to put in when it was dry.
Next time I would like to use black sand.

Modifying image

WALHT  modify an image for reuse. Using a poly line to change the color in shape,and add a call out.

We are learning how to use a call out and a poly line.
I found it hard to use the polyline and I found using the callout easyer.
Next time I would like to do more poly line.

Oobleck and putty

                       What makes a good structure?

We compare Oobleck + putty as a foundation for a building.we had to find out what happened when we touch it,squeeze it,poured it ,punched it,roll it into a ball and speared it.

  Then we had to find substance that could be used to create a building.Such as plastic,stickies,leaves,card,paper cup,button,foil,pipe clean and a straw.

We are learning about Oobleck and putty.
I found it easy because I knew what was putty and Oobleck. 
Next time I would like to do more about Oobleck then putty.

  

Maori language week - Ta Moko

Looked at pictures ngā To Moko.

Looked at the meaning in the Ta Moko patterns.

Traditionally Ta Moko was made with a chisel.

Ta Moko starts out small and grows. The females usually only have their chin done.

Painting a mask with skin colour, or close to it.

Designed our Ta Moko

Drew on our Ta Moko onto our mask with vivid.

We are learning to draw a Maori Ta Moko on a mask.
I found it hard because they all looked cool and I didn't know what one to choose.
Next time I would like to draw another Ta Moko.

Cross Country Writing

Finally it was the year 5s turn to run I got to the starting line Miss castle said “Take your mark,set,go before the loud BANG! I was running I run past Mrs Hiku down the hill suddenly I was in the lead.In till Brooklyn past me my face turned red because something was at the back of me. “Ahh!’ I screamed as I ran from something it was a girl,she had short hair,two legs and two arms I ran past Mrs Mundy she said. “Why couldn't you run like this at practices’’ I said “Nothing’’ I was running  up the hill it felt like I was climbing mount everest my feet got sore and sore I went past the builders.And I went straight to the field suddenly Janaya past me when I got to the back paddick I was walking till I got to Janaya she started to run and I caught to her when she was running suddenly Janaya started to walk and I said “I hope you don’t come last’’ Mariah was at the back of Janaya I was trying to bet Brooklyn but she was already at the.Finish line I tried not stop and let Janaya and Mariah pass me but a let janaya past me because I was to tied and I looked at the back of me Mariah was already walking when I looked to front Janaya was at the finish I tried not to  let Mariah pass me so I run as fast as a cheater.when I got to the finish line I got a mark on my hand that said 3 after all the races are done the teachers give out the 1st 2nd and 3 place medal.

We are leaning how to write about cross country.

I found it hard to write on a paper because I was thinking blank.

Next time I would like to write another story.

LAMN - Camp Adair

We am learning how to have fun at camp adair.
I found it fun because we didn't have to do work on Thursday.
Next time I would like to go back to camp adair other day

Tongan language week

We are learning how to speak in Tongan for Tongan language week.
I found it easy because I speak Tongan at home with my parents.
Next time I would like to say some things in Tongan on screen castify.

Math - Ignoring zeros

We are learning how to do a screen castify for  math's.

I found it easy because I did screen castify when I was year 4.

Next time I would like to do more about ignoring zeros.

We are learning how features of a bird effect where they live,and the structures they like in.
I found it hard to come up with the names like curved,straight and short beaks and claws.
Next time I would like learn more and to do more about bird beaks and bird claws.

I found it hard because people were talking in the background.
Next time I would like the people to stop talking when I am doing my screen castify.

I found scratching the patterns into the clay hard because I was worried I would go through the clay.

 Make sure your password is secure and put 8 or more characters. 

Pizza buns

Today we tried something new. We marched to High wire and participated in a rotation. First we played games. Capture the ball and cat and mouse with chairs.

Then our teacher changed her smile grew wicked, the gleam in her eyes was scary. I waited patiently for my pizza. When I had the pizza on my plate I was about to take a huge bite, but I saw something moving inside the pizza.  I wanted to vomit. It had worms in hot sauce and chicken feet too. Ugh! I looked away from my pizza I had never seen something so disgusting.
